leclairageIt's multi-chapter fic day! I don't think I really stayed in the spirit of that, since all my recs are comparatively short. I have some very big fics up for tomorrow though, when it's dealer's choice.

So this story is focused on Swerve and his mystery pen pal, who Rung connects him with as part of their therapy for Swerve's depression. I'm reccing it because I found it extremely moving. The subject matter is handled deftly and seriously, but we still get a wonderful emotional resolution at the end. Just, emotions! It's pretty unusual for gen fic to affect me this much, but this one is just deeply powerful. I'm reccing it on multi-chapter day because I think it does an especially good job of maintaining suspense between chapters. It's short, but when it was being released, each installment had me hanging off the edge of my seat, so excited for more. It can be really hard to maintain that sort of momentum, and BlushLouise does it really well.

*handwave adventure of the week* Galvatron is temporarily stuck in a human body. So, naturally, while they're working on fixing that, he and Rodimus appear on Top Gear UK! Galvatron drives, and Rodimus likes it. Rodimus likes it a lot. You guys, this fic is stunning. It's funny, and exciting, and suspenseful, and hot, and sweet, and unexpected and gosh I love it. This one is archive locked, so you'll need an AO3 account (and I happen to have a bunch of extra invites lying around so...) I also highly recommend all of navigatorsghost's writing featuring the compelling combination of Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, and Rodimus. So good! For it's multi-chapter qualities, this one had a really cool way of giving each chapter a neat little arc, which I really appreciate. Each chapter, even the little epilogue, is satisfying to read alone, as much as it is reading the whole thing all the way through.

"Starscream accompanies Megatron on an alien trade negotiation after mistranslating the glyphs on the plus one invitation as 'lieutenant', when it actually said 'lover'." And that says it all really. God, I love this one. It has everything I like: fake relationship, sharing a bed, falling in love by accident... Each chapter has some new embarrassing and hilarious episode and it is wonderful.
